  • Unexpected necessities. Located in Boston and Cambridge, MA.

Susan & Timothy Corcoran opened the first Black Ink in 1994 in Beacon Hill as a small shop selling artistic rubber stamps and fine papers. We opened our second location in Harvard Square in 2002 and now carry housewares, bath items, children’s toys, greeting cards, postcards, japanese erasers, and literally everything in between!

We take pride in being locally owned and operated and stock our shelves with products from all over the world. We’re a one-stop design shop with a vast array of items, artful gift wrap and great gifts for just about everyone on your list. Want your purchase canned? Just ask. We hope to see you here!
