Cambridge Local First thanks Jaclyn Sinay and welcomes Carrissa Blackburn

Dear Members and Friends of Cambridge Local First,

As many of you know, Jaclyn Sinay, who served as our Executive Director for nearly two years, resigned her position as of the end of September and moved with her family to Western Massachusetts.

We make this announcement with great sadness because Jaclyn has been a stalwart and an exceptional leader for us. Under her leadership Cambridge Local First has grown and matured into one of the most respected local business networks in North America. The list of her achievements is endless and includes significant membership growth, the launching of the Community Membership Card, growing the budget and expanding the staff, opening up a new office, and enhancing the infrastructure and professionalism of our organization, just to name a few.

The most important contribution that Jaclyn made was her consistent passion and love for building a strong local economy while supporting local businesses in every way possible. Jaclyn’s heart-centered leadership set a tone for our work that engendered respect and invited collaboration.

We wish the best for Jaclyn, Terry, and Adelaide in their new life out west, and we hope they will drop by and say hello to their many friends in Cambridge soon and often!

Although she will be sorely missed, we are happy to let you know that Jaclyn has left Cambridge Local First in good hands. We are pleased to welcome our new Administrative Coordinator Carrissa Blackburn. Carrissa has a deep commitment to supporting locally owned business and she has stepped into her new role with great enthusiasm.

We are now in the process of selecting a new Executive Director and we hope to announce our choice in the next few weeks.

Locally yours,

Frank Kramer and Rachael Solem
