The Cambridge Local First Directory is retiring…but we’ve got new campaigns customized for our members.
CAMBRIDGE LOCAL SHOPPING & DINING MAP
By popular demand, we are producing Cambridge’s only citywide shopping and dining map. The custom-designed map will be available digitally, with 15,000 copies distributed citywide in easily-folding printed. The new map will direct users to shopping and dining businesses using a prominent numbered mark for every business and matching listing, including business name and address, on a side panel. The map will also feature public transit, parks and landmarks, making it appropriate for hotel and B&B guests, tourists, and new residents. We are particularly eager to have the map “clusters” bring attention to areas of the Squares and City that get less foot traffic.
Extra Advertising Options: We have reserved 32 standard-sized image spaces for advertising at $500 per space. For $100, any member featured on the map can have its business highlighted in bold.
LOCALS ONLY: A RESIDENTS’ GUIDE TO CAMBRIDGE
Distributed through real estate offices and other appropriate members and community partners, the New Resident Guide will focus explicitly on helping our newest neighbors access the services they need. The Guide includes a brief introduction to Cambridge and its unique local, independent communities and a useful listing of City services. From insurance and health services to ballet lessons, home renovation and furniture or hardware stores, this Guide features only CLF member businesses and nonprofits that specifically serve residents.
Extra Advertising Options: We have reserved a limited amount of space in the Guide for Member advertising. Advertising price levels are $250 and $750.
Cambridge Local Business to Business (B2B) 2018
This year-long campaign starts with an appeal for local businesses to contract with one another whenever possible. We will be disseminating an initial list and campaign materials to all CLF members and to anyone who opens a new business account at a participating bank. We follow up with five mailings over the year, each one introducing business owners and managers to the small but powerful list of CLF members that serve business needs. The campaign is complemented by Local Buzz events throughout the year that provide a space for local business owners to meet one another.
