Cambridge, MA – The Multicultural Arts Center and From Russia with Art Gallery presents Etchings from Moscow on view beginning June 6 until September 2, 2014, in the Lower Gallery, exhibiting works by Alexander Vetrov and Stanislav Nikireyev, two honored Russian artists with an exceptional eye for detail and beauty.
Alexander Vetrov blends color tactfully and artfully into his etchings, depicting scenes of Russian villages in the different seasons of the year, churches in ruins, his home, his mother. Stanislav Nikireyev (1932-2007), Vetrov’s mentor and inspiration, captures all the seasons of nature and its creatures, both from the past and from more current eras, through his black and white etchings.
